Making Rags for Motorcycle Maintenance from Old Bath Towels

Hello everyone.

Today, as the title says, I'm making rags.
When you do your own motorcycle maintenance, you need plenty of rags. How do you get yours?

Cutting an old bath towel with scissors to make rags for motorcycle maintenance; the finished rags are stacked at the back

I cut up old bath towels and use them.
I use rags for all sorts of jobs: wiping dirt off grimy parts, cleaning the screen and cowls with VuPlex, and using abrasives such as metal polish (PiKAL, a Japanese brand) to remove rust.
So they don't need to be very big; instead, I make plenty of them so I can keep separate ones for each job.

After all, you don't want to wipe your screen with a rag that's already dirty from wiping parts.

Home-made rags cut a little larger than the palm of my hand, stacked ready for use

I don't use a fixed size, but I find a little larger than the palm of my hand is about right.
